Michelle Romeis Farber is the surviving adult child of Alachua County Sheriff’s Office,
Deputy Jack Romeis who died on February 1,1988 after succumbing to injuries
sustained during an automobile accident on January 5, 1988.
Prior to relocating to the Jacksonville area Michelle was employed by the Alachua
County Sheriff’s Office as a Records Clerk, 911 Operator and Field Service Training
unit.
Shortly after her father’s death Michelle served as the President of the then Florida
C.O.P.S. Chapter and is currently serving in her second term of NE Florida C.O.P.S. as
Secretary.
Michelle states she has become passionate about helping others suffering from the grief
that she and her family experienced.
